Despite the heavy rain, the spirit of service remained strong as the Philippine Foundation for Cultural and Educational Development, Inc. (PFCED) brought its Women of Service and Hope: Community Outreach to Brgy. Tirona, General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite on August 8, 2026.
The outreach gathered approximately 100 children and 50 mothers from the community, providing them with much-needed support, care, and moments of joy. Made possible through the generosity and partnership of Century Pacific Food, Inc. and Angels Today, the activity reflected the power of collaboration in reaching families and communities who need encouragement and assistance.
A Day of Service, Even Under the Rain
The weather may not have been ideal, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the volunteers, partners, and beneficiaries. The activity became an opportunity not only to extend material support but also to remind the community that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
For the children, the outreach offered a meaningful experience filled with warmth and excitement. For the mothers, it was a reminder that there are people and organizations willing to stand with them and their families. At the heart of the activity was a simple yet powerful message: service becomes meaningful when it reaches people where they are.

Extending Help Where It Matters
PFCED continues to believe that community development is rooted in genuine human connection. Through outreach initiatives such as this, the Foundation seeks to extend its mission beyond programs and facilities—to communities and families who can benefit from support, formation, and meaningful engagement.
The participation of PFCED's partners made the outreach even more impactful. Through their generosity, resources were brought directly to the community, creating an opportunity for families to experience not only assistance but also hope.

— Barangay Captain Ma. Josie Binaday
Her words capture what the outreach was ultimately about—not simply the number of people reached, but the lives touched through an act of service.
Building a Culture of Service
The Women of Service and Hope: Community Outreach is a reflection of PFCED's continuing commitment to building communities grounded in compassion, generosity, and human values.
Through partnerships and the shared commitment to serve, even a rainy day in Brgy. Tirona became an opportunity to bring hope, care, and encouragement to families in the community. Because when people come together to serve, even the smallest act of kindness can create a lasting ripple of hope.
